Dr. Chancellor received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed his residency in urology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He subsequently completed his fellowship in neurourology and female urology at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York.

Dr. Chancellor is internationally recognized as a leader in urinary bladder treatment and research. Dr. Chancellor’s scientific discoveries have lead to the licensing of his inventions to Cook Myosite, originator of the first approved U.S. human urologic stem cell clinical trial and bladder drug delivery technology to Lipella Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Chancellor has been principal investigator of over 75 clinical trials including physician sponsored IND trials. He is the recipient of over 25 NIH grants, and author of more than 300 peer-reviewed publications.

Dr. Zwaans is Director of Urology Research at Beaumont Health and Assistant Professor in Urology at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. In this role, Dr. Zwaans leads the clinical and translational research projects that are ongoing within the Urology department. Dr. Zwaans received her Master in Biological Health Sciences from the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands, obtained her doctorate in Molecular and Cellular Pathology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, after which she joined the Beaumont Urology department. During her training Dr. Zwaans has obtained extensive research experience in the fields of vascular biology, tumor angiogenesis, cancer biology, ageing, benign urology, and cancer survivorship. She has published in top journals including Cell, Urology, and Cancer Cell, and has been successfully funded through the Urology Care Foundation, NIH/NIDDK, and DoD. She has mentored students and trainees from high school level to residents and fellows, and has collaborated with physicians and scientists around the globe. Her passion is to help advance the medical field through her research, with a special interest in cancer survivorship and biomarker development.

Dr. Mota is a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in the department of Urology at Beaumont Health. She has a master’s degree in biotechnology and PhD in Bioscience from University of Campinas (UNICAMP, Sao Paulo Brazil). Her training is in molecular biology and biochemistry, and masters techniques in protein over-expression and protein purification, in vitro inhibition assays, enzymatic and cell-based assays, High-throughput screening (HTS) and structural biology. She has professional experience as a Pharmacist in clinical trial and research with special interest in therapeutical target identification and validation.

Sarah received her Bachelors of Science in Evolutionary Biology and Masters Degree in Physiology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. During this time she worked extensively in the fields of cardiology and gastroenterology before starting her career in Urology. With over 12 years of lab experience, Sarah has expertise in a magnitude of areas ranging from pre-clinical models to microbiology. She has many publications, including those in the prestigious journals, Circulation and Journal of Urology.
