The Urology Research team at Beaumont seeks to take cutting-edge research discoveries and translate it to impacting patients’ lives in meaningful ways. We combine our clinical and scientific expertise with global collaborations with leading exerts and partnerships with patient advocacy groups to drive innovative research.

Some of our most impactful research projects to date include:

 

Interstitial Cystitis

While there is no cure for interstitial cystitis, some patients can experience relief with treatment and early diagnosis. This can lead to a better prognosis and decreased health care costs.

Radiation Cystitis

More people than ever are surviving cancer; cancer survivors have unique health needs and concerns as result of their cancer and treatment.

Underactive Bladder

Underactive Bladder (UAB) is a chronic, complex, and debilitating disease suggestive of detrusor underactivity.
