Led by a pediatric board-certified neurologist with fellowship training in movement disorders, new patients first undergo a comprehensive evaluation that may include clinical assessment, laboratory testing, cognitive evaluation and brain imaging. These capabilities allow our clinical team to make a quick and accurate diagnosis and deliver a timely treatment plan for each patient.
Our team will work with your primary care doctor to provide a medical treatment plan. When appropriate, we offer neurosurgical implant of a deep brain stimulator for dystonia.
The Beaumont Children’s Movement Disorders Clinic offers an interdisciplinary approach that includes neurologists, neurosurgeons, physical therapists, speech therapists and other medical team members.
