Vizient Inc., the largest member-driven health care performance improvement company in the U.S., has selected Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak as a recipient of its 2017 Supply Chain Performance Excellence Award.

The Supply Chain Performance Excellence Award recognizes the top performer in supply chain management as measured by supply expense at the facility level as well as for select departments such as pharmacy, laboratory, imaging, radiology, blood services, cardiology and surgical services.
“Beaumont Health, Royal Oak’s supply chain leadership–working in collaboration with their physicians, caregivers and associates–supports and promotes rational, cost-effective, diagnostic and therapeutic treatment regimens in the delivery of high quality, patient-centered care,” said Rand Ballard, chief customer officer for Vizient. “As a result of this high level of engagement from all stakeholders, this facility was Vizient’s top-ranked performer in supply chain management metrics in 2016.”
