Why is lung cancer so deadly?

Lung cancer is difficult to diagnose safely and reliably in the early stages of the disease because early-stage lung cancer is usually first present in the small nodules located deep in the periphery of the lung.  Traditional, manual bronchoscopy is often unable to adequately access this area, leaving the early-stage lung cancer to remain undetected.


What are the benefits to Robotic-Assisted Bronchoscopy?

Combining traditional camera views of the  the lung with computer-assisted navigation, based on 3-D models of the patient’s own lung anatomy, robotic bronchoscopy provides bronchoscopic visualization throughout the procedure enabling the physician the ability to:

Who is eligible for Robotic-Assisted Bronchoscopy?

People who have a lung nodule or mass that shows signs of growth or is otherwise suspicious may be eligible for robotic navigational bronchoscopy. To determine if an individual can receive the procedure, doctors will review their medical history and perform a physical exam to assess their overall health and lung and heart function
