MICROBIOME AND SLEEVE SURGERY RESEARCH STUDY
Obesity is a complex disease that is not well understood. That is why Beaumont’s Weight Control Center is conducting a research study examining the relationship of the gut microbiome (the numerous bacteria that naturally live in our intestines)
and metabolomic biomarkers (blood substances that reflect our cellular metabolism processes) with weight loss outcomes in patients undergoing sleeve surgery.
