Urological Cancer Support and Counseling

When you have cancer, treating the disease is important, but it is also vital to your overall health that you take care of yourself in other ways. People who have a strong support group tend to do better throughout cancer treatment and can even have better outcomes. We encourage you to seek out help and support through your diagnosis, treatment and recovery.

Whether you need help with finding information about your condition, want to reach out to others who have been through what you are going through, need help with finances and insurance or would like to see a counselor or social worker, Beaumont can help.

Support Groups

At Beaumont, we can connect you to support groups, including some that are specific to urological cancers, such as Us Too Prostate Group which provides information and support to men who have prostate cancer. Families and friends are also welcome in this group.

Classes

We offer a number of classes tailored to people who have or are recovering from cancer. Check out our specific classes and learn more about each one.

Counseling

Cancer can be a frightening diagnosis, regardless of the expected outcome. Counselors and social workers can help you work through your thoughts, fears and emotions. We also offer genetic counseling to help you understand how your condition may be hereditary.
