- A team specially trained in stroke care is on hand 24/7 for the emergent evaluation and treatment of individuals presenting with stroke symptoms with the goal of preventing or limiting disability.
- During a stroke, every second counts. Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital’s emergency medicine team ensures timely evaluation and diagnosis of stroke using advanced imaging. In addition to the team outlined above, a multidisciplinary team that may include specialists such as cardiologists, vascular surgeons, hematologists, and interventional neuroradiologists help manage patients post-stroke with an emphasis on determining the possible cause of each patient’s stroke and prevention of future stroke.
