Beaumont's Neuro Rehab program offers an interdisciplinary approach to neurological disorders that includes physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech and language pathology, therapeutic recreation, social work and case coordination. We also offer training and education for patients and caregivers, as well as instruction on in-home activities to promote recovery, independence and safety.

Our certified and licensed therapy team will design a program to help you recover, gain independence and maintain safety.

  • anoxia
  • cerebral aneurysm
  • stroke (CVA)
  • deconditioning
  • dementia/ Alzheimer's

Treatment program

Therapists at Beaumont's Neuro Rehab program provide one-on-one treatment based on the deficits determined during a thorough musculoskeletal evaluation. The treatment can include manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, functional tasks, splinting, modalities and customized home exercise programs. The frequency and duration of the treatment is dependent on the patient's medical necessity and commitment to therapy.

Therapy team

All of the clinicians in Beaumont's Neuro Rehab program are licensed and highly skilled:

  • physical and occupational therapists are licensed by the state of Michigan
  • neuro-developmental treatment certified therapists have completed advanced education courses
  • speech and language pathologists all have master's degrees with certificates of clinical competency
  • therapeutic recreation specialists are certified through the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation
  • social workers are licensed by the state of Michigan
