The John Glenn Corewell Health School Based Clinic is a school-based health center located in Westland, at John Glenn High School. The center is funded in part by the Corewell Health Foundation, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, Michigan Department of Education with support from the Wayne-Westland School District.
The on-site nurse practitioner provides services such as: physical examinations for school, sports or annual health care, immunizations, basic lab services, vision and hearing screenings. A social worker therapist provides mental health and counseling services.
All services at the clinic are confidential and fees are based on income. No one is turned away due to inability to pay. Parental consent is required except in cases of emergency care, confidential visits, and crisis intervention. The clinic is truly making a difference in the lives of many members of the community.
Clinic serves adolescents aged 10 years - 21 years old.
