Chris Harrison, senior vice president of financial operations and corporate finance
John Kerndl, Beaumont Health executive vice president and chief financial officer, has announced the appointment of Chris Harrison as senior vice president of financial operations and corporate finance.
In this role, he will work to develop and administer an integrated financial plan for Beaumont Health’s corporate division, focusing on performance improvement in responsiveness, operations and financial communication.
Harrison brings nearly 20 years’ experience in the accounting and health care industries to Beaumont.
He came to Michigan from LifePoint Health, headquartered in Brentwood, TN. He was vice president and operations controller at the health system, responsible for oversight of all aspects of operations for its 72 hospitals, including net revenue calculations and analytics, accounts payable, payroll, financial and operational reporting, as well as annual budgeting.
He also served at Hospital Corporation of America, where he was the senior manager, Internal Audit, before being promoted to director of Financial Analytics. He previously worked as a staff auditor at Healthcare Assurance; a staff accountant at National Renal Alliance in Franklin, TN; and a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch.
A Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Net Revenue Analyst, Harrison earned his bachelor of science degree at Tennessee Wesleyan University in Athens, TN, and a Master of Accountancy degree with a health care emphasis from Belmont University in Nashville.
Jonathan Maner, senior vice president and executive director of Beaumont Physician Partners and executive director of Beaumont Medical Group
David Wood, M.D., Beaumont Health Chief Medical Officer, has announced the appointment of Jonathan Maner as senior vice president Beaumont Physician Partners and executive director of Beaumont Medical Group.
In this role, he works to optimize and integrate Beaumont Health physician services and leads the Beaumont Medical Group, a 1000-physician strong multi-specialty group, employed by Beaumont Health.
Maner has nearly 20 years of experience with health care organizations across the country, including Northwest Health System in Arkansas and Navarro Regional Hospital in Texas.
He comes to Beaumont from the Trinity Health System Office Physician Network Organization, where he served as vice president of operational excellence since 2015. At Trinity, he led the operational and financial transformation of the physician organization, which spans 22 states and includes about 1,700 practices with 7,000 physicians.
Prior to that, he served as senior vice president of physician services for the Trinity Health - St. Mary Physician Group.
Maner served in the United States Army for nearly 10 years in both the 101st Airborne Division and the 10th Mountain Division. He received his degree in business administration from Capella University in Minneapolis, Minn.
