Since mid-March, Beaumont Health has discharged 2,076 COVID-19 patients with 154 patients taken off ventilators.
Currently, systemwide, Beaumont has 747 COVID-19 positive hospitalized patients, compared to the health system’s highest number of COVID-19 positive hospitalized patients: 1,101 on April 7. These figures do not include patients hospitalized with pending or negative tests results.
“While we’re seeing favorable trends with COVID-19 discharges and admissions, our team is still working hard to provide lifesaving care. We are not out of the woods,” said Dr. Nick Gilpin, Beaumont Health’s medical director of Infection Prevention and Epidemiology. “People should continue social distancing and minimizing their physical contacts with others outside their homes. These measures are imperative as we battle this virus, which can be deadly.”
Seven Beaumont hospital Emergency Centers and its freestanding Emergency Center in Canton remain open 24/7 to care for non-COVID-19-related medical emergencies and trauma including heart attacks, stroke, seizures and injuries.
Except for Beaumont Hospital, Wayne, the following Emergency Centers are open:
- Beaumont Hospital, Dearborn
- Beaumont Hospital, Farmington Hills
- Beaumont Hospital, Grosse Pointe
- Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak
- Beaumont Hospital, Taylor
- Beaumont Hospital, Trenton
- Beaumont Hospital, Troy
