Three experienced Beaumont Health leaders have been promoted to new roles with increased responsibility within the organization.
Debra Guido-Allen, RN, has been appointed chief operating officer for Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. She was previously chief nursing officer at Beaumont Hospital, Troy.
“Throughout her more than 30-year Beaumont career, Debbie has ensured her teams deliver high-quality, patient and family-centered care in partnership with physicians, administrators, employees and volunteers,” Beaumont, Royal Oak President Nancy Susick said.
Guido-Allen began her career as a general surgical nurse at Beaumont, Royal Oak. In addition, she previously served as manager, Cardiovascular Research and Anticoagulation Management Service.
Anne Stewart, RN, has been appointed chief nursing officer for Beaumont, Royal Oak. Stewart has held progressive leadership roles at the Beaumont Hospital, Grosse Pointe campus and most recently served as chief nursing officer. Before this appointment, she was a bedside nurse, assistant nurse manager and nurse manager. Under her leadership, Beaumont, Grosse Pointe achieved its first Magnet designation in 2018.
After a 40-year career with Beaumont, Maureen Bowman, RN, is retiring as Beaumont, Royal Oak’s chief nursing officer.
Mark Leonard has been appointed chief operating officer for Beaumont, Troy. Leonard has served the Beaumont, Troy campus for 20-years. In 2017, he became vice president of Operations and Finance, building on his prior experience as vice president of Finance and controller.
“Beaumont, Troy has experienced enormous growth. Mark’s leadership over many operational areas in addition to his financial responsibilities were crucial to our accomplishments,” Beaumont, Troy president James Lynch, M.D., said.

In 2018, Beaumont Health had 178,196 inpatient discharges, 17,790 births and 572,597 emergency visits.
