An important tool for helping anyone change their eating habits is to write down what they eat. You can use the diet diary form provided from our center, or use your own notebook or daily planner.
The important thing is that you record everything you eat and drink for at least 3 days. This will help you to see not only how much you eat, but also why you eat, when you eat and where you eat. All of these things are important to help you make changes in your eating habits and achieve a healthier lifestyle.
At the end of each day total the number of servings in each column and compare them to the servings recommended on the heart healthy pyramid.
